the pin-did challenge: week 1

It's time for the very first Pin-Did link party! whoopity whoop!
I'm giddy, so giddy. I can't wait to see what you've got to share.
To kick things off, I'm sharing my own happy little pin-did: fabric-lined envelopes!

I used fabrics from Aviary 2 and Loulouthi. The nice thing is that each envelope only takes a tiny bit of fabric, so you don't have to use up a huge cut of your favorite print. It was super easy and I can't wait to make some cards to go with them.

Your turn!
Link up to your blog post
{please link to the actual post}
or comment below
 and show us
what you've been pin-doing this week.
Visit the other links, spread some love,
keep pinning, keep making, and
come back next week to see a featured project {or two!}.

That is such a fun idea! Even better with a coordinating card inside. I think that would make my day to find one of these in my mailbox! I think I might have to pin this...

Your envelopes look great! I really love the fabric you've chosen. Off to do a little fabric shopping!!

So I don't have a blog post for what I did from my pinterest list this week (I did comment on the pins I completed). I cooked a couple of recipes that I thought looked good (and they were, though one was surprisingly better than I thought it would be). I made the microwave individual cake (more than once) and the dark chocolate cake with peanut butter cream cheese frosting (the frosting was divine). Thanks for encouraging me to try some of the things that I have filed away.

Great idea. Mine quilt took more than a week, and it's been finished for a little while, but it was Pinterest inspired, so I wanted to share. Love your envies, I will have to try that out!

Your envelopes are so special...the problem with doing this challenge is that I will complete one or two projects and will likely pin several more! :) Thanks for hosting!

Ooooh pretty! I made pumpkin cookies TWICE! My tummy thanks me but my hips and pants don't. (Be quiet, pants!) And I meant to take some to my neighbor but never got a chance. I guess I'll have to make them a THIRD time!

Those are beautiful. I love the fabrics you chose. Whoever receives a letter if those should consider themselves lucky ;)

I'm late joining in, but I made a ruffled infinity scarf using a tutorial I spotted on Pinterest. Here's my version, with a slight variation to give the scarf's edge a cleaner finish:
